Google Chrome’s incognito mode is less sophisticated than IE8′s InPrivate browsing, but it has a feature that will be useful for those who have more than one Google account.

When you open a window in incognito mode (Ctrl+Shift+N), your cookies from the standard session are no longer available and you can easily log in to a new Google account.

After having one of those ‘Download Video from YouTube’ sites many moons ago, i thought i’d check the code and see what could be done for Chrome as yes it can be done.

Create a new bookmark and call it “Download YouTube” or something you will remember, then for the address field paste:

Then save your bookmark. Next go to the YouTube video you want to download, when it starts playing click your “Download YouTube” bookmark and you will see the .flv start to download in Chrome’s download status bar.

Let’s look at some of the unique features that are only available in Google Web Browser are you’re seriously going to miss them in other popular browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Apple Safari or Opera.

1. Task Manager for Websites
While you are inside Google Chrome, press Shift+Escape and it will open up a ‘task manager’ with a list of all websites currently open inside Chrome.

Well not quite a Google Toolbar, but as close as we can get with no plugin API. Also this has a lot of the functionality of the SEOQuake addon for Firefox, so if your a webmaster or SEO these can be pretty useful for Chrome.

They are used just like bookmarks, so create a new bookmark, name it something self explanatory and for the URL place the corresponding code. Until we get real webmaster or SEO tools for Google Chrome these do a pretty good job of getting around the problem.
