When you share your PC with other people. If, for instance, you have been browsing on internet but after using computer you want to clear the browsing data, but this will clear out everyone’s history as well. Here’s the solution for it.

The sites you have been visiting are suggested in browser’s Omnibox. Before browsing around on internet you could temporarily switch to Incognito mode to make sure that no search data is recorded.

Using Google Chrome Backup to Remove Your Browsing History
But let say if you forget to switch to Incognito mode you still can do the trick. There is a small free utility called “Google Chrome Backup(GCB)” lets you create backup of your browser’s profile and restore it again later, thereby rolling back Chrome’s search history to the point at which you backed it up. Using this program to cover you tracks is very simple.

1 – To use the utility, extract zip file and run “gcb.exe” and run the executable.
2 – Before you begin surfing, press “Run Wizard”.
3 – In new window make sure that “Backup” is selected and press “Next”.
4 – Select the default profile and press “Next”.
5 – Browse for somewhere to place the backup of the default profile (a USB key, for example, on which you could also conveniently store GCB for use on public PCs), and press “‘Back up”. Close the window by hand.

After Finish Browsing

1 – To roll back the profile, run GCB again and press “Run Wizard” button.
2 – Select “Restore” and press “Next”.
3 – Browse for your saved file and press “Next” again.
4 – Make sure that you are restoring to the default profile, press “Next” and hit the “Restore” button.
5 – When asked to confirm the procedure, after which the backup will be restored.

Search from URL bar

Chrome does not have a search bar like Firefox. To perform search in Chrome, simply type search phrase in URL bar and hit Enter. Chrome will perform a Google research for your phrase.

Change omnibox suggestion count

By default Chrome shows 5 URL suggestions when you type a URL.

In Windows right click on Chrome shortcut icon and select properties. In the Target field, add this command line switch to the end of command.
–omnibox-popup-count=your_desirable_suggestions_count

Change Chrome Theme

If you want to change the Chrome default theme to personalize it more, here are easy steps to change Chrome theme

Download a Chrome theme
Extract the default.dll file
Navigate to Chrome installation directory and go to /Application/Chrome/Version/Theme folder. The chrome version will be in the form of 0.2.129.27. Replace the default.dll file in the folder with the default.dll that you extracted.
This will change Chrome theme.

Download Youtube video in Chrome

This tip will allow you to download a youtube video in Chrome without using any additional software or file. In the Chrome press “Ctrl+B” which will load the bookmark bar. Right click on bar and click “Add Page”. In the name bar type Youtube Videos or whatever you want to name it. In the URL field copy and paste following code.

If you find the font of text is too big or too small to read, you can adjust it to your liking in Chrome by pressing “Ctrl+Mousewheel”.

If you have more than one tab, you can drag and drop the tab on menu bar to open it in a new window.

The easter egg appears if you type about:internets in the address bar but this only works in XP and not in Vista.

Edit any web page

Right click an html page and select “inspect element”. Edit the hetml code and hit return, it will show you the changes you made.

Delete cookies in Chrome

Go to Tools > Options > under the hood. Scroll down to the security section and click show cookies. Now you can click on remove all or remove individual cookies.

As almost everybody knows by now, Google has released their Chrome web browser, a stripped down browser built for speed and an inline search bar known as the Omnibox. The only problem is that by default there are only 5 suggestions, but with a simple command line switch we can increase that number.

To illustrate what we’re talking about, once you start typing in the Omnibox you’ll see 5 suggestions:

But we can increase that to 10, or even more if you choose:

The magic happens with a simple command line switch that we’ll add to the shortcut. Just open up the properties for your Google Chrome icon, and add the following switch to the end of the Target line (making sure to put a space between)

-omnibox-popup-count=10

Now when you launch Chrome with this shortcut, you’ll see more suggestions in the list. Note that you could put any number instead of 10.
