Step 1) First launch google chrome, and in the top left hand corner you will see a spanner icon. Click it and a drop down menu will appear, select the about google chrome option.



Step 2) Now a box about google chrome will pop-up. You will notice at the bottom it will be scanning for updates. Wait for it to finish (normally under 5 seconds) and if an update if found it will tell you. If not it will say google chrome is up to date.

Step 3) This is what you should see if your google chrome is up to date, if it is then you don’t need to update google chrome and you can get back to what ever you was doing! If you did get an update message then follow onto step 4.

Step 4) The Update now button should be clickable if you need to update, so click the update now button, to proceed with the update.

Step 5) Now google chrome will update, just wait for the update to complete and click OK.

Step 6) Now the update has completed click the OK button and close down you google chrome browser for the update to take its affect.
