Google’s browser, made a high profile entry and quickly gained adherents, especially for fast processing JavaScript. These tips for better browsing chromium are Jerri Ledford, co-author of the Guide to Google Chrome Web Geek, published this summer by Que.

Here in a browser are not new, and Chrome is Firefox and Internet Explorer, even in the world of the chips. Chrome adds some new tricks, however. You can click and drag a tab off into its own window at any time. You can drag tabs between open windows Chrome. Even more fun, you can drag any link to the tab area and will open a new tab.

In addition to the processing speed of JavaScript, Chrome uses DNS pre-fetching some tricks to speed up browsing. When a page with a dozen links, Chrome classify the links in order to anticipate their popularity click Next. The algorithms of this seem to be based on AdWords and search history, but Google does not, of course, give details.

All browsers allow you to set your home page. In Chrome, go to Tools. Options> Basics to set the group of Web sites that want to open when you start Chrome.

Like Firefox, Ctrl + T opens a new tab and Ctrl-N opens a new window. Control + Shift + N opens a new “incognito” window that keeps the sites you visit outside the browser history. When forced to work hands on a user’s computer, the window will remain incognito navigation page out of the reach of the user.

Version 3.0 and even allows new skins for Chrome (Tools> Options> Personal Stuff). There are about 30 now, but will be added over time. If you do not like the minimalist look, change it.

While Chrome does not provide access to detailed configuration commands such as Firefox with about: config, there are some about: commands that open for details. About the version displays the version on: DNS a list of all DNS records in the possession of Chrome, about: plugins list of helper applications loaded on: memory shows current memory usage, and about: cache opens the cache internal management. Since Chrome is solid, you can see the screen of humor by putting on accident: an accident in the address bar. Version 3.0 and included in the statistics about the commands (secret stats page), the network (current status) and IPC (interprocess communication details).

The operating system of Google Chrome caused some confusion with the Chrome browser. No doubt it will get worse when, according to Ledford, some netbooks running OS Chrome can go out later this year. Merry Christmas.
