Add Wikipedia Search to Your Google Chrome

Adding a wikipedia search bar to your google chrome search engine can be a very nice and handy feature to have.

Here you can add the feature by following these easy steps :

Step 1:

First you will need to launch your google chrome browser, then in the top left hand corner click the tools button and then selection options.

Step 2:

Now your in the google chrome options this is where you can change around the basic settings of your browser. Make sure you select the basics tab, and scroll down to the default search section and select manage.

Step 3:

Now you can see all the search engines installed on your google chrome browser, look over to the left and click the add button.

Step 4:

A New box will appear this is where you will need to enter the search details. First of you will need to enter the search engine name so for this I wrote ‘Wikipedia Search’ next you will need to select the keyword i.e a Nickname for the search engine I wrote ‘Wiki Search’ finally you will need to enter the search engine URL for wikipedia it is: ‘http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=%s ‘ Once you have correctly entered in this information click OK!

Step 5:

Now the search engine will be added under other search engines, if you want to make wikipedia search your default search engine then highlight it by clicking it and then select the make default button on the right.
